If you are suffering from feelings of anxiety, it is most likely because you are identifying with your personality self. Anxiety is often the result of judgmental thoughts by the EGO self. Anxiety can be alleviated by understanding the EGO self more in depth. This can be explored in therapy in order to “get to know your EGO” and what role it plays in directing your life choices.
Awareness of these feelings is the first step. Feelings of anxiety signal that a threat or threats are looming nearby in which one must “brace themselves” to overcome, hence the physical symptoms of tension that accompany feelings of anxiety. Anxiety can be further alleviated by experiencing present moment awareness. This can be taught and practiced (with Elle) in a therapeutic setting and used afterward as a lifelong practice to manage symptoms of anxiety.
